The 2025 Senior World Championships were held from 22nd July to the 30th 2025, in Tbilisi, Georgia. Several GBR athletes delivered some impressive performances.
The World Championships opened with the women’s epee and the men’s foil. The first day saw Julia Caron, Susie Sica, Jaimie Cook and David Williams advance to the last 64 of their respective events.

The following day, Julia Caron made a last 32 finish.

The spotlight then turned to women’s foil and men’s sabre, and after some great performances, Carolina Stutchbury and Jonathan Webb advanced to the tableaux of 64. They were joined by GBR’s men’s foilists and women’s epeeists, who returned for the team events.

Following her silver medal at the 2025 European Championships, Carolina Stutchbury, with resilience and determination, placed 14th in the individual women’s foil.

She then faced two-time Olympic champion Lee Kiefer (USA), missing out on a last 8 finish with a final score of 15-7.

Our foilists and epeeists demonstrated brilliant teamwork, with the men’s foil team facing Japan in the last 16, with a final score of 48-28.
Then it was the turn of our men’s epeeists and women’s sabreurs to compete. Caitlin Maxwell advanced to the last 64.

The team events continued over the last few days of the Championships.
